Hello everyone !

Can someone please teach me how to add friends ?
It seems I can't PM someone without having him/her in my friendlist.

Thanks in advance.

There should be a "contact user" button above a user's profile.

I tend to not think my posts through before typing. Will people get annoyed by this?

There really are no rules about posting, (except no porn/gore images or spam; don't link to them, either). The First Amendment is in full force, and you can say whatever you want. Personal moderation, or lack thereof in the case of some people, is completely up to you.

My advice? Always think before you speak. On here and IRL.

Generally it is done by embedding a youtube player of 1px by 1px size set to autoplay in your infobox. You can get the embed code and monkey around with it on the video's youtube page by clicking on the share button, then the embed button that appears. From there, check autoplay and set the custom height and width to 1 each and you'll be golden if you copy and paste the embed code in the text box into your profile about/info/description field and add &autoplay=1 into the part of the embed code that houses the video link. Hope this helps.

Like this?

<iframe width="1" height="1" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/YRx_iXgLAyw&autoplay=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Hey hey.

Can someone tell me, has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

You’ve got to be kidding me.

I’ve been further even more decided to use even go need to do look more as anyone can. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that?

My guess is that when one really been far even as decided once to use even go want, it is then that he has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like.

It’s just common sense.

Serious question here.

What exactly does the title under a user's display name indicate? I noticed when I logged on that I had gone from being a "Brand New User" to a "Gold User". Anyone know what that means, and/or how it changes?

Is it possible to remove your contributions/Karma count on your profile?

My Krama makes me cry.

Not at the present. Honestly, Karma is a meaningless figure, and you shouldn't really care about it. Try getting your contributions up instead.

Here's what I use:

<iframe width="XXX" height="XXX" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/XXXXXXXXXX?&fs=1&autoplay=1&rel=0&showinfo=0&controls=0&iv_load_policy=3" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

XXXXXXXXXX is the link name, and you can set the width and height. I used 450×259 for the big one on my profile and 225×182 for the smaller ones.

I highly advise you begin a thread in "Meme Research" before you create one, but under the drop-down "Memes" tab in the top bar bellow the banner, there is an option to Submit an Entry.

What do I need to subscript my first entry?

Check out The Know Your Meme Style Guide for tips on formatting entries. The comments on the page also contain links to other sources on the site for entry help.

This is the first time I've seen a new member ask how to make an entry. Usually they just type a few words into the description and the mods and other researchers either fix or deadpool it.

Simply click one of the red buttons next to the post, right under the name and title of the poster.

+ is obviously for positive karma, while – gives negative karma.

Thanks.

How would one go about creating a hyperlink with the red font that you click on?

"Your Words Go Here":url

Example:

"Best Site Ever":https://knowyourmeme.com/

Leads to:

Best Site Ever

Question here!

I've seen the member titles and stuff thread, and couldn't help but notice that it said that a member is given the title of 'Gold Member' once they reach 50 forum posts.

So how come i am a gold member while having only 6 posts? Am i missing something?

Got to the Youtube video and press the share button that is under the video.

After that, click the embed button.

Then copy and paste the code into the thread. If the new code doesn't work, use the old embed style. This section also allows you to choose the size of the video, but the standard one works just fine, so there is no need to make giant videos.

I hope I helped.

I almost forgot about this bitch.
A little nostalgic though.

I was asking myself the same thing…
Also, anyone knows how to multiquote here?

It also happens when you reach 50 comments, if I remember correctly.
