I expected a rickroll after that. I am disappoint.

Anyway, I hope you guys don't mind, but please don't test stuff in here. You can do that in any other thread, so please just ask your question, say thanks, and leave.

Why this forum can not make a Signature?

I believe the forums have been made to be relatively clutter free and a signature area both would involve coding that is felt to be unnecessary and would go against the idea of an easy to read forum.

Nothing is stopping you from manually putting a sig under your posts, however.

Do we have a thread on ranks and how to get them?

Sure do.

Check it out for details, but in brief, the more you post, the more prestigious your user title. If you post a lot of images, make a lot of edits/have a lot of editorships, or make a lot of thread posts, you'll be on track to become an Archivist, Research Advisor, or a Conversationalist, respectively.

The moderator titles and unique titles generally mean those users have site "powers" of some sort. They keep things neat and tidy (and friendly) on the site.

"Alpha as F**k" and "RandomMan's Bitch" was an unfortunate consequence involving a contest of sorts.

Not a problem.

You should really thank "RandomMan,"https://knowyourmeme.com/users/randomman--3 he's the one who put all the information together for your viewing pleasure.

1. How do I accept friend on KYM?

2. How do I un-favorite certain memes?

1. Go to their profile and click "Start Following"

2. Go to the meme and click the star on the top right, it should drop the count by one and remove it from your favourites. The same goes for images and videos.

Thank you, that was really helpful! :D

Does it also work if you're trying to post a video in a forum post?

Yes, it does. Most HTML and textile are allowed, but you aren't allowed to add autoplaying videos in forum posts. Read that thread for all your formatting-related questions. But thanks for asking here instead of making a new thread about it!

I have a question.
In my ''Usher's Dancing Goes With Everything'' entry, the origin section's text is small and having links to the YouTubers's channel is just showing the link and not it's username in red.
What's my problem?

I might get with one of the more experienced users or entry/database moderators about that. I know RandomMan and opspe can probably help you out. Just shoot them a message. Of course, there are plenty of other users and moderators too, and they'd all be willing to help.

Just pick the one with the coolest avatar.

The code you used to link the text was the following:

href="Url">Name</a>

While you correct code should be:

<a href="Url">Name</a>

As for the small section, you forgot to add some white lines between the headers and the text. Another thing is that starting a new line with a space will result in small text.

Fixed both for you.

(Because it's obvious Verbose finds my avatar the coolest.)

Although I do have to say I'm unsure about that entry. The videos really have minimal views. It hardly shows any spread. I'll deadpool it for now until it shows more spread.

Hey guys, just going to quietly try posting an image to see if this works. I'd rather work out the bugs here than bother a really busy thread.

So, um, next round for all the bronies and KYM members is on me. Let's do this.

There's this easy way to do it. However, it renders your HTML and Textile useless.

@Just put your text in between 2 "at" signs, and you'll get all Times New Roman. But I don't know what the tags are for it. Or which ones work on here. I tried it once, but it didn't work.@

I'll just use this post to test some things.

Edit: Well damn. There's no simple "make all this text Courier" command.

I wonder how they did it in the Zork thread…

Edit II: This forum really needs a preview post button.

Edit III: It seems that none of the ‹font› commands work at all.

Edit IV: Well, I guess using @@ on every line is okay for now.

@Wotato

You can manually update your profile stuff. You just need to go to "Edit Profile" and in the bottom press "submit". When you go to the top of and press "back", your information should be updated.

Hello I've been here for about say about a couple months, what happens if you find a user just ripping your memes off, and claiming them as their own?

Whenever you have a problem with someone submitting a duplicate of one of your pictures or videos, simply request deletion of the dupe to one of the mods; this goes for images/videos that aren't yours either. Any help scanning for duplicates is always appreciated.

Thanks, RPP. In addition, if you believe you are the person responsible for a meme, then you can go to the entry and click the button at the top right of the entry with the title "Suggest a Change." If you have proof (generally a link to the actual page with a date of your first instance of the meme) then the editors will check it out and will make the change if they believe it's legitimate.

The SFM General thread got locked due to inactivity. Anyone plan on creating a new one?

That's an interesting question. Specific to this, I would say that I don't think anyone would make a new thread. There have been other threads that didn't have much activity. Unless you're confident that more people would post than have in the past, then I probably would not suggest making the thread. I don't think there is much evidence for it (i.e. there is evidence to the contrary.)

At the same time, I probably wouldn't lock it as long as it was on topic. Just keep in mind that there doesn't seem to be much interest in regards to KYM discussion. It's the same reason I haven't made a Sports General, because I'd have to keep bumping it with news people didn't really care about.

Anyone know how to make music play automatically on your wall? I used to just take a Youtube video and shrink the dimensions down to 1, but I've forgotten the coding I need to make it automatically play. _

Put a question mark behind the video url in the embed code. After the question mark put autoplay=1 .
